The next iPhone line will likely be composed of three models, including two OLED variants and an entry-level versi with an LCD, leading to a "flattering" average selling price for the 2019 fiscal year , according to a new analyst report.
Steven Milunovich's report from UBS, obtained by AppleInsider presents two pricing scenarios of the next generati of iPhones. The first would have a 6.4-inch OLED model priced at $ 1,099, a $ 9.99 OLED at 5.8 inches and a 6.1-inch LCD model at $ 750. An alternative range would csist of an OLED model of 6.4 inches to $ 1,050, an OLED of 5.8 inches to $ 900 and a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone to $ 700.
Importantly, the report predicts that 70% of users will pay $ 700 or more for their iPhone this year, though that number is less than 40% in previous years.
The device and size forecasts are in line with those of other analysts, most recently RBC's Amit Daryanani, who is expecting three new models, including a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone.
