The news of Apple's work "Are You Sleeping" surfaced for the first time in January, but now Variety says that the company has decided to go ahead with the producti of the show.
"Are You Sleeping" is based a novel by Kathleen Barber, which has been described as a psychological thriller. The book focuses a podcast that reopens a murder case, similar to the popular "Serial" podcast that led to a new trial for Adnan Syed, in pris for allegedly murdering an ex-girlfriend. Sarah Koenig, who created and produced "Serial", will csult "Are You Sleeping".
The novel which the TV show is based explores how the reopening of the murder case has an impact the victim's daughter and disrupts his life, and it is likely that the series will follow a similar plot.
"Are You Sleeping" was written by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, and the series will be produced by Hello Sunshine and Chernin Entertainment / Endeavor Ctent by Reese Witherspo.
Apple is also working with Reese Witherspo's producti company an untitled "morning drama" that takes a look at the damn morning TV.

It is not yet known when the first TV shows of Apple will begin or how they will be distributed, but rumors suggest that we could see the first fruits of Apple's efforts in 2019.
