The Washingt Post claims that Apple has explored the opening of a campus for 20,000 employees in northern Virginia, an area that Amaz is also csidering for its new campus.
Apple told ecomic development officials of Northern Virginia that he was looking for four milli square feet of space for 20,000 jobs, and the authorities have proposed several potential sites. proposed by Northam staff for Apple include office buildings and development sites in Crystal City, Loudoun County private land near the Center for Innovative Technology and Scotts Run development in Tyss.
Two of these sites, Crystal City and Loudoun, are amg the sites that Northam has also launched Amaz. Both companies plan to make a decisi this year.
Separately, the Triangle Business Journal says that Apple plans to establish its new campus in the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. Research Triangle Park, a 22 milli square foot research park, has become an attractive site for technology companies and is known as the North Carolina Technology Center because of its proximity to NC State, the University of North Carolina and Duke University.
