An employee of Apple’s Cork campus, Ireland has tested positive for the Coranavirus, the Irish Independent has reported. The company has cfirmed cases of Covid-19. Over the weekend, Apple has encouraged the employees who were able to work from home a number of regis of the world, although the Cork does not seem to be the time when this policy was first implemented.
“e of our employees in Cork has been cfirmed Covid-19,” the company said in a press release. “We are in close coordinati with the local health authorities who believe that the risk is low, and the individual remains in self-isolati. As a precauti, we have asked some of our team members to stay at home while we are working with the Health and Safety Executive to assess the situati. We ctinue to regularly deep clean all of our offices and stores and take all the necessary precautis in accordance with the guidelines of the health authorities.” The Apple campus employs more than 6,000 people.
