Apple Cuts HomePod after-sales orders prove to be lackluster

Apple's HomePod did not end up selling as well as the company hoped, causing it to cut orders with suppliers, reports Bloomberg .

At the end of March, nearly two mths after the HomePod went sale, Apple would have lowered its sales forecasts and abanded some orders with Inventec, the company respsible for the manufacture of HomePod. It is said that the HomePod inventory in retail stores is accumulating with some shops selling "less than 10 HomePods a day."

Early analyst estimates based strg pre-orders and initial sales figures suggest that the HomePod would sell well and capture a good porti of the smart speaker market, but Apple did not succeed to maintain its commercial dynamism. In the first 10 weeks of sales, it has released 10% of the market for smart speakers, against 73% for Echo devices from Amaz and 14% for Google Home, according to Slice Intelligence.
