A line of code unearthed in the latest beta versi of Apple's watchOS 4.3.1 suggests that a future versi of the operating system will allow third-party developers to deploy customizable faces, a feature for which many users have focused. Watch debuted in 2015.
A log message buried in the first beta of watchOS 4.3.1, released to developers earlier this mth, and discovered by 9to5Mac suggests a potential integrati with the NanoTimeKit of Apple. The private framework is respsible for a number of assets traditially inaccessible to developers, including access to face-to-face cfiguratis.
The new beta includes a NanoTimeKit development tool server for customizing the watch face. to communicate with Xcode. For now, the server is idle, which means third parties can not access the framework, but that could change in a future versi of watchOS.
