Apple appoints Oliver Schusser to head the Apple Music divisi, as the service now exceeds 40 milli subscribers

The last time we heard, Apple Music had exceeded 38 milli subscribers in March. Now we hear that the service has exceeded 40 milli subscribers. That's 2 milli subscribers in about a mth. But that's not all, Variety reports that Apple is also backing up its Apple Music team by naming Oliver Schusser to head its music streaming divisi. His official role will be at the helm of the Apple Music Worldwide team. Schusser was previously vice president of Apple Music & Internatial Ctent. Outside of the United States, he has helped in the App Store, iTunes TV movies and portals, iBooks, Apple Podcasts, and more.

Schusser has a fairly close relatiship with Eddy Cue, vice president of Internet services and software. In fact, Cue hired Schusser about 14 years ago and it is he who announced the promoti today.
