A maz announced Thursday its intenti to acquire PillPack, an line pharmacy and drug delivery service.
PillPack allows users to purchase prescriptis in pre-manufactured doses that come in custom packs. The service also helps coordinate refills and renewals, and ensures that drugs are delivered time.
The exact terms of the merger were not disclosed by Amaz or PillPack, but sources close to the agreement were reported TechCrunch that it was for " just under $ 1 billi. In a press release, Amaz calls this a "definitive merger agreement."

PillPack has operating licenses in all 50 states, but currently not internatially, and has developed and maintains an line platform called PharmacyOS to view data from Patients and Medicati Management.
Earlier, rumor had it that the line pharmacy is discussing a merger with Walmart – e of Amaz's biggest competitors in the retail market. As TechCrunch Amaz "came to offer more."
