Activity Trackers now mandatory for John Hancock Insurance

The insurance of John Hancock makes it obligatory to have an activity tracker, whether it is an iPhe, Apple or another device.

The move by the 156-year-old insurer, owned by the Canadian Manulife, marks a major shift for the company, which unveiled its first interactive life insurance policy in 2015. It now applies the model to all its life insurance policies.

In the past, it relied a reward system for people who had an activity tracker, such as gift vouchers.
