AAPL shareholder proposal: a transparency report freedom of expressi

A AAPL shareholder proposal calls for the Cupertino, California, company to add it to its list of the transparency and accountability of reports, with a new freedom of expressi as a human right.

He expressed his ccern about Apple’s cooperati with the Chinese government to take measures that would diminish the freedom of expressi in the country, and wants the iPhone maker to outline the steps it has taken and the mitoring mechanisms for its policies in this area…

The proposal has been made by csumer group SumOfUs.

SumOfUs does not have a dead hand when it comes to explaining his arguments in favour of the proposal.

Independent proxy advisory firm Institutial Shareholder Services (ISS) has that Apple shareholders vote in favour of the proposal for freedom of expressi reports.

(“Apple” or the “Company”) request that the Board of Directors annual report to shareholders, at reasable expense and excluding cfidential and proprietary information ccerning the Company’s policies freedom of expressi and access to information, including whether it is publicly committed to respect freedom of expressi as a human right; the mitoring mechanisms for the formulati and administrati of policies freedom of expressi and access to information; and a descripti of the actis Apple has taken in the last year at the request of the government or other third-party applicatis that are reasably likely to limit freedom of expressi or access to information.

The Apple shareholder meeting was held February 26, 2020.
