Apple discovered that some iPhone 8 unit logic boards are getting more serious in manufacturing problems. The company repairs these for free.
This may be the cause if your phe ctinues to restart or lock up.

"Apple has determined that iPhone 8 devices have very few logic boards with manufacturing defects that may result in unexpected restarts or frozen screens affected devices.
This is because logical boards are essentially Is phe. It holds everything that makes CPU, RAM, storage, and iPhone iPhone. Amg the few compents that are not logic boards, there are batteries, screens, casings, etc.
Just saying there is a problem with the logic board means that the actual problem is not actually understood. That means the car's engine is broken. That statement covers many areas.
How to find out if your iPhone 8 is affected
Apple says that potentially affected devices were sold in the US, Australia, China, Hg Kg, India, Japan, Macao, New Zealand, as well as between September 2017 and March 2018.
To check if your iPhone 8 has this problem please visit Apple's support website and enter the serial number of the device
Apple promises to repair it free of charge if you have an eligible serial number your iPhone 8.
You can bring the phe to an authorized service provider or Apple Store. If that is not feasible, you can also ship affected devices to Apple.
