A new Report Allegatis of Abuse Against the Muslim Uighurs of Working in the Apple Supply Chain

Apple Is e of the companies criticised in a damning new report by the australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) in looking at the treatment of the Uighur Muslim workers. The research arranged in several points of the supply chain of Apple, where the workers of the minority group who had been ill-treated.

The allegatis of the Muslim Uighurs in Apple’s Supply Chain Subject “Re-Educati”

In e of the case studies to be published Friday, ASPI said that Uyghur Muslims were subjected to “re-educati”, while the work in the Apple supply chain. An example has been said to be at Apple ctractor O in the Film. The company has made the selfie-camera which displays the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. They also have the supply of parts for the likes of Huawei, Lenovo, and Samsung. Tim Cook visited the company’s Guangzhou factory in December 2017, ing a photo of her time Weibo, the Chinese social media platform. The report describes the claims that:

Before Cooking the visit, between April 28 and May 1, 2017, 700 Uyghurs were transferred from Lop county, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang to work at another O-Film factory in Nanchang, Jiangxi province.

It is alleged that the fact of having been transferred, the Uyghur workers were supposed “to gradually alter their ideology, and become more sympathetic to the Chinese Communist Party. Apple has issued a press release commending O-Film for his “human approach towards employees.” That press release has since been deleted.

Other Supply Chain Issues

Other companies in the Apple supply chain who were involved in the ill-treatment of Uighur workers. For example, backlight, and battery manufacturer Hubei Yihg, whose parent company names Apple as a client, ease the demand for “patriotic educati” of Uighur Muslims, it is claimed.

In additi, ASPI cited September 2019 report that says Foxcn workers, including in the factory in Zhengzhou, where half of the world, iPhones are said to be made, has worked more than 100 hours overtime per mth. Uyghur workers are employed at the factory.

TMO has ctacted Apple regarding the claims made in the report. The company had not respded at the time of writing these lines.
