Custom .pkg deployment and internal applications are added to JAMF.

JAMF is a manufacturer of mobile device management platform for Apple. There are two products, JAMF Now and JAMF Pro. I am actually a JAMF Pro customer, but JAMF Now is a really nice platform. JAMF aims for a company without an IT department, but JAMF Pro has many bells and whistles that the IT department needs.

Today, JAMF introduced two functions that fill the gap little by little between the two products.

Package development for Mac – You can quickly and easily deploy custom scripts and applications in a generic .pkg file format. This is especially useful if you need to deploy software that is not available in the App Store, such as Google Chrome, Adobe Creative Suite, or Microsoft Office, to your organization's devices.

Introduction of custom iOS application – You can easily distribute in-house apps and third-party apps using custom application deployment for iOS devices. This feature allows organizations to take advantage of custom applications on all iOS devices, whether or not they are available only outside the App Store.

Package deployment for Mac is very useful as a lot of applications that companies have not even deployed on the Mac App Store. This feature is also useful for pushing new printer drivers. As for MDM support, JAMF keeps all the latest functions of iOS, macOS, tvOS up to date, and I will be a customer for many years.
