Located west of Shanghai, Suzhou is a wealthy and rapidly growing business hub. Apple's latest store is located at the foot of the unique arched skyscraper and the tallest building gate in Suzhou. Under the tower there is the Suzhou Center Mall in CapitaLand which overlooks Ginger Lake, it is the biggest shopping center in the city. Since opening in November 2017, Apple is busily constructing high-prominent and high-priced stores directly adjacent to the entrance of the mall and the external square.
At night, the hidden façade of the store was decorated with vivid red wrappings with a chromeed Apple logo, as shown in the photo of Weibo user @ Patrick_112233. This flag is the first formal confirmation that Apple borrowed on space. Rumors have been ongoing since last year, and in Suzhou retail shops were hired from April, but there was no official announcement.
When opened, Apple will join more than 600 brands in shopping malls. This store will be the second newest place in China in 2018 after the opening of Apple Cotai Central in Macau at the end of June.
