In the non-gaming category of the App Store, the main category was entertainment with 24%, with services like Disney + and Tencent Video leading. The main off-game category on Google Play was social media, which generates 16% of its revenue.
In the United States, customers spend 4.8% more on apps at Christmas 2019 than they did at Christmas 2018. Overall, people spent a total of US $ 5.1 billion on the two platforms in December. This is an 8% increase from December 2018.
