According to the new data before the iPhone Xs, the iPhone 6s and 7 are still the most common iPhone

Prior to Apple's announcement on Wednesday's 2018 iPhone, analyst firm Mix panel I am looking at various iPhones currently used by consumers in detail. This data shows that iPhone 7 is the most common iPhone and iPhone 6 is in use soon.

Mixpanel has analyzed "11, 211, 484, 245 iPhone events" in the past 4 years and said that consumers are investigating the adoption and usage of iPhone and iOS in detail among consumers.

In terms of hardware, iPhone 7 is the most widely used iPhone in the market today, accounting for 17.34% of the iPhone. iPhone 6 is the second most popular model with 13.01%, and iPhone 7 Plus is followed by 12.06%.

But perhaps most interesting is that 12.06% of iPhone X is in the following list. This assumes that the device was available in less than a year, but the other major devices are several years ago.

The complete breakdown of iPhone's market share is as follows.

  • iPhone 4 – 0.11%
  • iPhone 4S – 0.34%
  • iPhone 5 – 0.98%
  • iPhone 5c – 0.47%
  • iPhone 5s – 3.87%
  • iPhone 6 – 10.57%
  • iPhone 6 Plus – 2.63%
  • iPhone 6s – 13.01%
  • iPhone 6s Plus – 4.74%
  • iPhone SE – 4.62%
  • iPhone 7 – 17.34%
  • iPhone 7 Plus – 12.06%
  • iPhone 8 – 7.89%
  • iPhone 8 Plus – 7.89%
  • iPhone X – 12%

Perhaps the most noteworthy thing about this data is the number of consumers still using iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7. This suggests that the demand for this year's new iPhone model is considerably increasing.

In addition, Mixpanel suggests that the annual release of the iPhone is deprived of 20% market share in about six to seven months, but in theory it will be even faster.
