8 arrested in $ 1 million California Apple Store thefts, Warrants for 9 More

The police in California arrested eight people from a series of thefts in Apple stores with sales of US $ 1 million. Arrest orders have been issued for nine more suspects.

The suspects are charged with stealing display products from Apple stores in 19 countries. They walked to the shops during office hours and went out with the merchandise in just a few seconds. All wore hoodies to hide their identity.

The Attorney General of California, Xavier Becerra, said that one suspect is in custody in Sonoma County and seven others in Alameda County.

Oakland Police Chief Anne E. Kirkpatrick added: "The successful cooperation efforts of law enforcement have resulted in the dismantling of a major criminal ring."

Because the police know who they are looking for, chances are they also know where to look. Chances are that we will soon hear more about arrests in this theft ring.
